Surgery can be a critical part of maintaining or restoring your pet’s health and is often necessary to treat injuries and trauma, remove tumors or masses, correct congenital or acquired conditions and improve long-term health.
Examples of surgery we perform include:
A dog with a bandage wrapped around its leg, sitting calmly on a soft surface.

Spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) are routine, preventive surgeries that not only help control the pet population but also offer long-term health benefits. These procedures reduce the risk of certain cancers and prevent unwanted behaviors, such as roaming and marking.

Soft tissue surgeries are used to treat issues involving the internal organs, skin, or other soft tissues. Common soft tissue surgeries include tumor removal, laceration repairs, gastrointestinal surgery (including blockages, foreign body ingestion or Gastropexy (stomach tack)), bladder surgery (including bladder stone removal or urinary tract blockages), and surgery to help dogs with brachycephalic syndrome.

Orthopedic procedures address issues related to bones, joints, and ligaments. These are often necessary after trauma or to treat conditions that cause pain or mobility issues. We can provide femoral head osteotomy for hip luxation and amputations when necessary.

Dental disease affected 80-90% of dogs over 3 years of age.  In addition to routine dental prevention products, the best way to protect your pet is to have routine dental cleanings performed very early and before severe disease has developed.  We provide dental cleanings in a fully equipped dental suite that includes dental x-ray and a dental unit with ultrasonic scaler and a high speed drill.  This allows us to properly evaluate your pet’s teeth and then safely provide any extractions that they may need.

When emergencies happen, having access to surgical care can make all the difference. Common emergency surgeries include C-Section (Cesarean section), foreign body removal, trauma surgery, ophthalmic (eye) surgery.
